Sara Rotter

Sara Rotter joined Halstead Property in the Fall of 2011 as Director of Sales, Downtown. In her new position, Sara works in conjunction with Richard Grossman, Executive Director of Sales of Downtown where together, they are responsible for the continued success and strategic growth of the Village and SoHo offices of Halstead.

Sara is both sincere and serious about building her agents' careers, and connecting people with their ideal home. With her own extensive knowledge and experience as a former agent, she excels as a non-selling manager who understands the challenges of making real estate a full-time career.

She strives to not only teach agents, but to keep their focus consistent, their motivation high, and their eye on the big picture so they continually reinvent themselves in their business. Sara provides her agents with valuable insight and suggestions on how to leverage the unique talents they possess so they can apply them to this business and develop their own craft, ultimately helping them achieve their goals.

To do this, Sara offers a hands-on management style and unique sales approach based on the all-encompassing philosophy that customer service and satisfaction come first. She conducts small-group in-office training sessions and intensive workshops that address specific topics applicable to real estate, from the psychology of sales to the actual processes that need to be in place to succeed at winning business. Sara also believes today's agent must add value. She encourages her team to learn the different neighborhoods and preview available inventory, "so you can be adaptable and knowledgeable in any market condition, no matter what your clients demand."

Prior to joining Halstead, Sara served as the Senior Managing Director for the Gramercy, Flatiron, Chelsea and West Village offices for Citi-Habitats for more than 8 years. As a result of her hard work and dedication, the offices thrived under her direction and she produced more than $1.3 billion in sales during her time at the firm.

A New York City native, Sara intended to be a doctor after completing her Pre-Medical program at Harvard University. Who'd have thought that a bad experience with a landlord would lead her to a career in Real Estate? She got her start in real estate in Boston where she quickly became the top-producing agent in the city's finest real estate firm. During her last six months there, she was handpicked by a major developer to work as the exclusive on-site agent in Boston's premier Manhattan-styled luxury loft building. Even in one of the slowest markets, Sara was able to achieve 60% occupancy within three months after the completion of construction.

She is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), and an advocate for anyone who wants to make real estate a gratifying career. She also deeply believes in giving back to the community, which is why she consistently gives over 10% of her income to various charitable organizations.
