David A. Burris

Mr. Burris is an owner and Co-Chairman of Terra Holdings, a company that owns and operates several real estate service firms including the Halstead companies, which is a residential brokerage company with more than 600 brokers throughout the New York City area and a residential management company serving over 80 buildings; and the Brown Harris Stevens companies, one of the oldest and largest residential and commercial real estate service providers in New York City, with a staff of over 400 people and over 530 brokers operating in two states. The Terra Holdings principals are also participants in the Vanderbilt insurance brokerage companies. He has specialized in representing diverse clients in the acquisition and disposition of investment grade real estate, specializing in original and complex structures to maximize value. Mr. Burris has also been responsible for supervising the development, management, and leasing of diverse luxury residential and commercial office towers.

Previously, Mr. Burris served as Senior Vice President of Manhattan Pacific Management Company, Inc., the leasing and property management division of The Macklowe Organization. While at Manhattan Pacific, Mr. Burris was responsible for overseeing the commercial leasing of the firm's 3.5 million square foot commercial office portfolio.

In 1992 and 1993, Mr. Burris was directly responsible for more than 1,315,000 square feet of leasing. In particular, Mr. Burris leased more than 550,000 square feet of space at Avenue of the Americas Plaza, located at 125 West 55th Street, which included two of the four largest leasing transactions of 1992 in New York City.

Prior to joining The Macklowe Organization in 1988, Mr. Burris served as Vice President of Helmsley Spear, where he specialized in client representation for the sale and acquisition of investment grade real estate throughout Manhattan.

He graduated from the George Washington University, Washington, D.C. and is a member of many professional and charitable organizations.
