As Executive Director of Communications for Halstead Property, Robyn handles all the public relations activities for the firm which include both internal and external communications. As a result of her strong relationships with the media, Halstead is properly represented in the press at a minimum of once a week. Robyn joined the firm in 2006 as the Director of Communications and was quickly promoted to the Vice President of Communications. In Spring 2010, she was promoted to her current title as Executive Director.
Robyn brings more than twelve years of public relations and corporate communications experience to Halstead Property. Prior to joining Halstead, Robyn was an Account Supervisor at a full-service marketing and public relations firm, Amies Communications in Irvine, California. While at Amies, she worked with a wide range of clients in fields including residential real estate, commercial real estate, mixed-use projects and interior design. In her senior role at the company, she was responsible for media relations, account management, crisis communications, website development, strategic plans and event planning. Robyn received three Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awards for her work on an Orange County luxury residential high-rise including Best Brochure, Best Website and Best Consumer News Release.
Before her position at Amies Communications, Robyn was the Area Director of Communications for the American Cancer Society in Connecticut. In that capacity, she was responsible for the media relations and communications for Connecticut including serving as the spokesperson and coordinating charity events. Robyn also played a key role in the organization's management team and served as a representative for cancer survivors. Previously, Robyn was the Public Relations Manager at one of the leading personal finance magazines, Money Magazine. Based in New York, she oversaw all publicity needs of the editorial and advertising staff for the award-winning national publication.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Robyn graduated from the University of San Diego with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and French. She is a member of PRSA and the Urban Land Institute. Robyn resides in Rowayton, Connecticut with her husband and young son. She is an active member of her community, volunteering on a regular basis for the town of Rowayton and for the Darien Youth Lacrosse.
