Halstead To Open New Flagship Office

Halstead Property is to open a new flagship office at 499 Park Avenue.

Located on the southeast corner of Park and 59th Street, the two-floor 17,000 s/f space will be ready early Spring 2011, according to Diane M. Ramierez, Halstead’s president.

Ramirez has been actively growing the brokerage with a series of strategic mergers and acquisitions over the past two years. The firm has also accommodated dozens of brokers from shuttered companies such as Coldwell Banker Hunt Kennedy.

Halstead now has 19 offices in the tri-state area and over 1,000 staff.

“Halstead Property has always been focused on smart, strategic growth,” said Ramierez.

“We identified a need for larger office space to accommodate our growing company, but also to have a space that is visually representative of the innovative brand that we have carefully created and maintained. This new flagship office provides the solution at the perfect time, and we are thrilled with the opportunity to create a customized space … on one of the most prestigious avenues in the country.”

Architectural firm of Gensler is building out the space for Halstead Property the I.M. Pei designed tower owned by Hines. The Class A building contains 28 stories and 304,000 s/f with Cantor Fitzgerald as its major tenant.

The flagship office will be more than double the current Halstead office, which will close upon completion of construction at the 499 Park space.
