One of the largest residential real estate companies in the tristate area, Halstead Property, expanded eastward last week to team up with Devlin McNiff, owned by Stuart and Lynn Epstein and located near the corner of Newtown Lane at 3 North Main Street.
The new company, Devlin McNiff Halstead Property, will continue to run under the Epsteins, who have operated Devline McNiff, founded in 1971, for over 20 years.
"With our similar cultures and strong ethics, Devlin McNiff Halstead Property will quickly be the leading real estate force in the Hamptons," Diane M. Ramirez, president of Halstead Property, said in a statement. "As a result of Stuart and Lynn's strong leadership for more than 20 years, the firm has consistently ranked as one of the top firms in the Hamptons with an impeccable reputation and we are very pleased to have them join the Halstead family."
Devlin McNiffuses the catchphrase "The Power of Local" on its Web site. "We have always admired their innovative marketing strategies and technology," Mr. Epstein said of Halstead Property in a press release. "They have the tools and resources that will further complement our style of business and allow us to enhance our market presence in the area."
Halstead Property is a subsidiary of a parent company, Terra Holdings.
"With this expansion to the East End of Long Island, Devlin McNiff Halstead Property represents our commitment to strategic growth in the tristate area while maintaining our reputation as a highly respected, prestigious, and ethical firm," stated Arthur Zeckendorf, co-chairman of Terra Holdings, which is also parent company of the competing East End firm Brown Harris Stevens.
