THE SKIES ARE CLEAR, the sun is shining, the temperature is rising – yes, it looks like summer’s finally arrived, and we at Gotham would like to think we had a little something to do with it.
 Why? Because this issue of Gotham is steamier than ever.  Kicking off the heat wave is Matt Dillon, our superhot cover star.  Still riding high from his Oscar nomination for best supporting actor and his win for best picture as part of the cast of Crash, and now with three movies on tap, Dillon found time to chat with us between awards shows and premieres, and we’re thrilled.
 Also heating things up is the face-off between New York’s top criminal lawyers – no, not in a Manhattan courtroom, but in our pages.  Then we’ve got the inside scoop from Jon Klein, president of CNN/US, who discusses life in and out of the news, and from fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld, who sits down with us for an up-close-and-personal chat.
 You know what they say: “If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.” Well, we moved to the dining room with architect/interior designer Campion Platt for an intimate dinner party with some of New York’s movers and shakers.
