The Dealmaker Roberta Benzilio

Roberta Benzilio is, at her core, a dealmaker.


Her love of personal interaction and background in psychology have certainly served her well in that regard, and as a top-shelf salesperson throughout much of her real estate career, she has never lost her love for the art of the deal, priding herself in particular on the fact that she has never had a contract fall apart.


Highly accomplished and her opinion much sought after, Benzilio brings nearly three decades of top-caliber real estate ex¬perience coupled with exceptional market knowledge to her newest position.


As Executive Director of the newly formed Terra Development Marketing, Benzilio will facilitate operations, direction and management of new business, client relations, pre-development planning, marketing and sales for all new development projects represented by both Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Property- two separate and distinct companies owned by Terra Holdings, LLC.

Benzilio began her career as a sales agent in Brooklyn, working with residential buyers and sellers, gradually venturing into commercial real estate and new construction properties in Manhattan as well as Brooklyn, further cementing her strong ties to the industry with major developers and investors throughout the city.


"I've been fortunate in my career to work with the best in the business and that has served me, my company and our associated partners well." says Benzilio."


Her service, dedication, diligence and in-disputably successful results were rewarded with rapid advancements at William B. May Company one of New York City's most distinguished brokerage firms. She was with the firm for 23 years, holding a variety of executive positions before becom¬ing company President in 2004.


Benzilio joined Halstead Property Development Marketing in 2006 bringing her hands-on, in-touch approach to the marketplace with her. As Senior Director of Sales for Halstead Property Development Marketing for more than three years, she was charged with the oversight of more than 30 projects throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island City. Many of those new developments resulted in re¬cord sellouts.


Her stellar performance yielded, yet again, another promotion—this time to Executive Director of Sales of Brooklyn at Halstead Property, LLC—where she closely man¬aged some 40 agents in three offices and spearheaded the firm's strategic growth plan in the area.


There really aren't many areas where Benzilio hasn't left her mark. She has made great strides in the assorted arenas of mar¬keting, public relations and technology development, with impressive achievements involving everything from the opening of new offices to creating a new website. Benzilio is proud to say she loves every aspect of the real estate business and finds her work rewarding and exciting each day.


Outside of the workplace, in addition to her interest in building websites, something she has done since 1994 through HIA, a com-pany she founded, Benzilio has an abiding affection for travel in general and sailing in particular. She also volunteers her time at favorite charities such as Cystic Fibrosis and The American Cancer Society.
