The Darien office of Halstead Property announced their on-going commitment to OPUS for Person-to-Person with a corporate sponsorship for their 2011 spring benefit "Jazz Fête" which will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Country Club of Darien . The Darien office has a proud history of supporting both OPUS and their mission in the community.

"Halstead works with local non-profits both through donations and volunteer efforts. We are proud to donate to such a worthy, local cause such as OPUS for Person-to-Person. The work they do is so important to those who live in our community and surrounding areas. You can really see and feel the impact of the efforts of this committed group of citizens," Charlotte Felt, executive director of sales for the Darien and Rowayton offices of Halstead, said.

"Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors like Halstead Property, Jazz Fête attendees will have the opportunity to experience the unique culture of New Orleans, and bid on many creative auction items that have never been offered before," Kaitlyn Troy, one of the presidents of OPUS, said. "We are thrilled to be hosting our 15th annual spring benefit, which will be an amazing evening that brings our community together to raise funds for our neighbors in need."

The purpose of OPUS is to support Person-to-Person through fundraising efforts and public awareness. Person-to-Person is a volunteer driven, Darien based community agency that, through a sharing of goods and talents, responds to local neighbors who lack basic human necessities and/or resources to improve their lives.

Person-to-Person provides rapid response to client emergencies as well as access to interconnected services that support their client's journeys toward self-sufficiency. These services include practical help, advocacy and education. As a non-profit agency, Person-to-Person serves more than 22,000 people annually in the greater Stamford-Norwalk area.
