The Web Marketing Association has awarded Halstead Property with a 2007 WebAward for outstanding achievement in website development, the second in a row for Halstead.
The WebAwards is the standards-defining competition that sets industry benchmarks for the best Web sites based on the seven criteria of a success: design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use. The award recognizes the individual and team achievements of Web professionals who create and maintain outstanding Web sites. Halstead’s website was judged against other entries in its industry and then against an overall standard of excellence.
Halstead’s on-line marketing initiatives are led by Executive Vice President/Chief Information and Technology Officer Jim Cahill and the team includes Web Operations Manager Vincent D’Agostino and Web Developer Oksana Gatsul. They work closely with Halstead’s marketing department headed by Director Gerry Makowski building the industry’s most comprehensive marketing program available.
“Our vision for Halstead.com is constantly evolving to keep up with advances in technology and the growing sophistication of our clients and consumers. We are continuously developing versatile, unique tools that enable our buyers and sellers to accomplish their real estate goals in a timely, effective manner,” stated Jim Cahill.
Halstead’s Website gives users the most up-to-date information; listings are updated in real time. The listing system provides Halstead website users with information for over 2,600 Manhattan, Brooklyn and Riverdale residences.
Additionally, Halstead developed a number of unique website tools including:
A proprietary virtual painter tool that allows users to change wall and ceiling colors on apartment photos. Users can test various colors and see how they look in a particular apartment.
Halstead is the first company to integrate Google’s “street view” tool to virtually walk and view any street. Integrated Google maps show upcoming open houses and travel directions. Users are able to receive all updates including open houses on their handheld wireless devices via mobile.halstead.com.
