Born in China and raised in South America, Jane speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish. She graduated with a BA in mathematics and an MA in statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. Her diverse career path took her from working as a statistician to the fashion industry managing a well-known NYC designer sportswear company. She subsequently served as vice president at Bankers Trust Company developing management information systems, then transferred her skills to a prominent Brazilian bank. Prior to joining Halstead, Jane made her entry into real estate as an sales agent for the Zeckendorfs. A contented Upper West Side resident since 1971, she and her husband currently reside on Riverside Drive.
