Merle Golden Bogin graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in economics. After five years with Halstead, her achievements there were recognized with membership in the Producers Council and Platinum Circle and a promotion to Vice President.
In 1961, combining a natural entrepreneurial inclination and recognition of an unmet niche area, Merle founded Golden International, Inc., importing and distributing specialized golf gloves to prestigious country clubs. When Golden International was acquired by a larger company, it had thirty representatives and sales in the seven figures.
Merle moved to New York in 1979 and joined one of her suppliers as a senior executive. She directed marketing operations coordinating letters of credit with the wholesaling and manufacturing of golf equipment. Writing promotional material was also an important part of her responsibility.
Merle left the world of golf in the early 90's. Because real estate had always held a fascination for her, she deicided to make it her second career devoting herself completely to selling residential real estate in Manhattan. One year after becoming a licensed real estate agent, she was named "Rookie of the Year" by her firm.
With Merle's negotiating and leadership skills honed during her thirty years in the business world she brings to real estate a proficiency in representing both sellers and buyers. She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
