Tom Coates has been a resident of Manhattan for over 25 years. His career in real estate is a natural extension of his enthusiasm for the city he loves due to all of its diverse, unique neighborhoods.
Tom has learned about real estate early. His invaluable instincts helped his family build their personal custom homes in New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida. He started with the purchase of the land, picking a builder,working with architects and the landscapers, to the completely finished home. Tom's sensibilities and his uncanny talent to work on all aspects of his parents' dream homes was of great pride to his family.
Tom brings this natural talent with him to Halstead. He is uncommonly focused on the needs and goals of his clients. His priority is to establish long and beneficial relationships with his buyers and sellers by acting with integrity.
Originally from Monmouth County, New Jersey, Tom attended Rutgers University and continued his education in graphic design at Parsons School of Design and The School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Tom's professional career, prior to selling real estate, was working as an Art Director for many prestigious marketing companies; among which were Avon Products, Inc., Revlon, L'Oreal and Estee Lauder, where he held executive management positions in advertising, marketing and product design.
In his spare time, Tom is a member of New York Cares, where he donates his time to help fellow New Yorkers in various communities that have special needs.
When not working or volunteering, Tom also enjoys all the arts, culture and latest trends that New York City has to offer.
