Little Italy

Lined with small cafes and beckoning ristorantes, Little Italy's narrow streets are alive with the smells of fresh bread, garlicky pasta and the sweet sounds of "la dolce vida". North of Canal Street, Little Italy runs from Mulberry to Mott Streets and Bowery to Lafayette Street. The streets are lined with vendors and Italian culture is demonstrated to its fullest. Every September, the streets are closed for the famous Feast of San Gennaro celebration.
