People ask Amy Rea if she specializes in one particular neighborhood of New York. As a matter of fact, she has found great properties in many different neighborhoods. She can find the SoHo Loft comparable in the Upper West Side, the perfect Uber-SoHo Loft replacement as a three-bedroom condominium in the East 70s, complete with river views for the entrepreneur’s young, growing family, the quintessential investment property that can rent out immediately and then be taken by a family member in the next season, relocate prewar grandeur clients to a spectacular Hudson Heights viewed-beauty, and steady the seller who became homeless for a scant two hours during one very exciting day of the seller sold & closed and bought in one day. If there is a miracle capable to occur, Amy will make it happen! As a dedicated agent, she aims to personalize the search so that her clients are satisfied and content with their choices. Satisfaction is Amy’s goal.
As a real estate professional since 1999, a native New Yorker since 1974, Amy has found this city to be ripe for discovery, and she has ventured to each part, one at a time. Motivated by a background of a journalist father and school teacher mother, whose penchant was geography, Amy left her Midwest hometown of Halstead, Kansas with a dream to live in the big city. As a single-mother, she is especially sensitive to the family unit and necessities for every need.
The Big Apple has been very good to Amy professionally, in careers ranging from twenty-one years of advertising in the fields of type, print, signage, digital photos and monument graphic art, to an active reputation as a dance-skater and Argentine Tango dancer. Although she earned a double major in Theatre and Communications at KSU, and she holds an active SAG card for acting, her favorite act is just living everyday life in this dramatic real estate business. Deep in her Midwestern roots she has a good neighbor sensitivity that will aide you in your search. Her tenacity may surprise you. She welcomes the opportunity to represent your property exclusively to the public for sale or for rent, as she is experienced in both arenas.
Real estate is a highly personalized and sophisticated field that requires mature judgment. Having such a top-flight brokerage house as Halstead Property, LLC backing Amy enhances her ability to serve you.
"I would like to thank Amy Rea for being so professional and caring in helping me find an apartment. This was my first time renting in Manhattan and Amy made the experience very painless and efficient. She did everything possible to make sure my demands were met and was flexible with my schedule. I was very particular on how clean the apartment should be so Amy hired a cleaning lady that did an amazing job! Again, I really appreciate Amy’s help throughout the whole process and I would not hesitate to recommend her to my family and friends." - Corina A. B."I own a condo on the Upper West Side on Central Park West.In 2007 I decided to put it up for rent. At that time, the rental market was hot and there was lots of competition to represent properties. I interviewed several agents associated with the larger realty firms in Manhattan. Amy Rea stood out amongst them as the most enthusiastic and experienced agent, so I selected her to represent me.
Within days, Amy took photographs of the condo, listed it and started to schedule appointments. She educated me about the market, screened potential tenants and even informed me about the steps needed to get the necessary approval for a tenant from my Condo Board.
Throughout the entire process, Amy's enthusiasm and positive energy made a huge difference. In the end, we found extremely reliable tenants and negotiated with them to get the highest rent for a comparable space at that time.
Two years later, Amy and I keep in contact and we have a warm professional relationship. I encourage anyone with a property for rent or sale in Manhattan to work with Amy. You will not be disappointed. I give her Five Stars Plus!" - Kind regards, Robert T.
