Andrea M. Dey joins Halstead Property with an impressive array of skills and experience. A seasoned corporate planner, she understands the value of impeccable service. While attending graduate school for clinical psychology, she became an event planner for a top New York City private bank firm. Post-graduate school, she started a consulting firm working not only with the banking world, but with some of NYC’s most prestigious real estate powerhouses.
As a real estate salesperson Andrea has formed life-long relationships with her clients because of her ability to connect, empathize, and effectively and efficiently meet their real estate needs, financially, emotionally and aesthetically. She understands the complexities of life in the “big city,” yet sees and shows the beauty and personalities of each neighborhood. Born in Guyana, but raised in Brooklyn, she is constantly taking a fresh approach and is fearless when it comes to traveling into unfamiliar territory.
Still deeply committed to psychology, Andrea conducts monthly empowerment seminars to women executives who struggle with balancing home and work life. She is a motivational speaker and conducts seasonal workshops on the power of forgiveness. An advocate for employing NYC youth in corporate environments, she serves as the middleman/temporary agent between parents and companies that she has established relationships with to secure employment or internship opportunities.
Andrea is Founder and Co-chair of the Teaching Radical Empowerment Daily (TRED) group, a nonprofit organization that is focused on creating innovative programs to assist single-parents and the children of single-parent households. Programs such as the Formal Reinforcement of the Gentleman School (FROGS), an etiquette school for High School Males. Also, the Latch-Key Kid Program, teaming up with NYS Office of Pupil Transportation, a bus service for junior high school children. Her motto is “speaking to potential not circumstance” and truly works with what you have to achieve the best possible results.
