When working with sellers to attract qualified buyers, Barbara ensures that their property has maximum marketing exposure using the full range of Halstead Property’s marketing program. She prepares the property carefully in order to present it in the most appealing manner and is armed with all the necessary information to make the deal happen.
When working with buyers, Barbara focuses her attention on finding properties that best meet her clients’ needs and wishes. She understands that her job requires not only up-to-date knowledge of a particular apartment, but also insight into the physical building, the board package and the surrounding buildings.
When working with 1031 exchange clients, she will use her personal experience with like-kind exchanges to ensure that her clients are fully aware of the stringent legal requirements for the exchange to be effective. Whomever she represents, Barbara’s full-service approach includes keeping them informed about their deal at all times and assisting them on the various steps of their real estate journey.
Barbara was born in South Africa and was raised in London. There she began to develop her business savvy, first by earning a BA in Economics from the University of Westminster, then an MBA in International Business from the City of London University. Her first real estate transaction involved developing luxury single-family homes on The Bishops Avenue, one of London’s most prestigious addresses. In the 80’s, Barbara moved from London to Washington D.C. and then NYC. Her first venture was to own and manage a commercial building in Tribeca as well as establish a contemporary art gallery in Tribeca. Real estate remains a passion and she provides 20+ years of real estate knowledge to her clients.
