#1 company-wide in sales transactions, four time award recipient.
Recognized by StreetEasy as Greenwich Village’s Top Selling Agent in 2011 and 2010.
You would be hard pressed to identify a Manhattan block on which Barry Silverman has not transacted a sale. As founder in 1989 of The Silverman Group, he built a company which grew to become the premier midsize downtown brokerage. Barry has over the years closed more than 1,400 sales throughout Manhattan, and has sales directed thousands more. In so doing he has established for himself a remarkable reputation for integrity and effectiveness, and is well known throughout the industry both for his encyclopedic knowledge of the Manhattan residential marketplace, and for an approach to business characterized by openness, warmth and humor. A practicing attorney in real estate and estate planning, and the recipient multiple times of Halstead's coveted "Most Transactions Closed" award, Barry lectures on a wide variety of real estate topics, and is frequently quoted in both the local and national media. A founding member and officer of the Downtown Brokers Association, he drafted the rules of ethical conduct which govern that organization's sixty member firms. It was with great pleasure that in 2003, Halstead Property acquired The Silverman Group.
