Bruce Rabbino graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in art and architecture. During college, he also became Vice President of the historically important Triangle Club, both writing and performing material for 3 of its annual original musicals. After college, Bruce spent several years in the theater. Beginning with scenic design for summer stock, Bruce then won an acting study scholarship with Uta Hagen, and appeared as a singer in many shows, including My Fair Lady and Anything Goes. Eventually turning classical, Bruce soloed with the Charleston Symphony and the Rhode Island Symphony, as well as the Metropolitan Opera Studio.
Life required a shifting of gears, so Bruce returned to his first creative field and opened his own Interior Design studio. He worked with both residential and commercial clients - from Harrison (Rex) to Hilton (hotels), as well as designing all the free-standing retail stores for the renowned men’s retailer, Eagle Clothes. He draws on his extensive renovation and space planning experience to creatively evaluate and solve the relocation questions posed by the discriminating buyer. An award-winning designer, be is now specializing in the sale and rental of family-sized cooperative apartments, condominiums, and houses.
During the years he ran his own Interior Design practice, he was on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and President of the Institute of Business Designers (IBD) in New York, as well as the Judicial Council of IBD National. One of the early council members of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), Bruce was involved in the creation and jurying of the qualifying examinations presently used in all states that certify interior designers. His several awards are for the design of furniture, carpets, and wall covering.
Bruce has also conducted backstage tours of the Metropolitan Opera and spoken for the American Cancer Society. In addition, having taught Interior Design at the School of Visual Arts, Parsons, Pratt, Marymount, and NYU, he created and teaches a license-renewal continuing education seminar for the Real Estate Board of New York entitled “Interior Design for the Real Estate Broker”.
During his years in real estate, Bruce has represented both buyers and sellers of prestigious cooperatives and condominiums. These people have come from all over the United States, as well as England, Switzerland, Germany, France, Mexico, Peru, and Taiwan. In addition, he has lived, worked, and raised his family here, and served on the Board of his own Co-op building. All this gives him a thorough knowledge of how to match people and property in New York City. You will be in good hands.
