Bryce first moved to New York City in 1982 to pursue his Master of Architecture at Columbia University. He practiced architecture for more than 20 years, running his own office for almost 15 years, where he designed numerous residential projects. Bryce began Real Estate sales in 2008, and joined Halstead Property in June 2009.
Bryce believes that clients who are buying a residence should be able to rely upon their Agent for guidance in finding the space and building that suits their lifestyle and budget. His experience in leading his architectural clients through the complex process of designing and constructing a residence translates directly to his Real Estate practice. Both endeavors require clearly defining desires and requirements, carefully evaluating budgets and allocating resources, and preparing thorough and accurate documents to protect the interests of the client. His thorough knowledge of all building types – pre- and post-war apartment buildings, lofts and townhouses – as well as his architectural vision assists buyers in clearly assessing their needs, evaluating the suitability of properties, and recognizing inherent potential of space.
Bryce’s background similarly allows him to represent properties listed for sale with a depth of knowledge that highlights their unique attributes and enhances their inherent value. His detail-oriented approach translates to a thorough and meticulous service from staging through closing for his Real Estate clients, and he offers an extensive knowledge of architecture, design, construction and furnishing that is unsurpassed in the industry.
A 20-year resident of Greenwich Village with an extensive knowledge of the history and neighborhoods of New York, Bryce also writes features on architecture for WestView, a monthly Village newspaper, and devotes what spare time he has to his wife, their rescued dog Bella and the renovation of their house in Orange County, NY.
