Catherine chose her early career in restaurant management and her current one in real estate because they are both service oriented -- making people comfortable, happy and at home in new surroundings. She is savvy about apartments all over Manhattan, and knows how to point out those undesirable characteristics-- noisy steam pipes, store delivery entrances just beyond the window, difficult co-op boards, etc, that may otherwise become apparent only when it is too late.
Catherine has lived on the Upper West Side with her husband and children for thirty-four years, has been president or part of the executive committee of parent-teacher associations at both private and public schools in the city and loves the West Side for all its sundry charms. She has served, in past years, as president of her cooperative association, dealing with the complicated legal and fiduciary issues protecting shareholder’s values. As a long-time resident of the Upper West Side, she can point out the changes that have taken place there over the years and the ones that are imminent.
While she handles exclusives for sellers all over the city, Catherine's knowledge of the Upper West Side makes her a best bet for clients looking to buy or sell a home there. Catherine’s honesty and openness with other brokers, and 22+ years of experience, enhances her ability to find homes for buyers. In 2007 Catherine's husband, Tom, joined her in the real estate business. This is not the first time they've worked together. Back in the early 80's they owned and operated a fine dining restaurant called, The Little Club, in New York City. After 28 years of marriage, they decided to "team up" again for the latest chapter, The Holmes Team!
