Strategy Star Award Recipient - 2012
Cornelia Dodge possesses an intimate knowledge of the Hamptons that only comes with a lifetime spent in the area. Her ability to develop creative marketing strategies and effectively work towards solving problems are advantageous for her clients. Cornelia was awarded Halstead Property’s prestigious ‘Strategy Star Award’ in 2013 for productively utilizing the company’s most current technological tools in promoting her sellers’ exclusive listings and pinpointing potential properties for her buyers.
Cornelia was born in New Haven, Connecticut and grew up in East Hampton where her family has summered since the early 1950s. She graduated from Miss Porter’s School and Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in English Literature. She returned from fifteen years in New York City to live in East Hampton with her two boys in 2001, and shortly thereafter began working in real estate. Cornelia enjoys maintaining her up-to-date knowledge of the ever-changing inventory of Hamptons sale and rental properties, and is ready to help a buyer or seller with researched and accurate advice on zoning, building codes, improvement costs, trade contacts and effective ideas to enhance a property’s value.
Candor tempered with humor characterizes Cornelia’s relationships with both buyers and sellers. She likens a real estate deal to baseball; for a long time nothing may happen, but then suddenly one may be confronted with a triple play, where things move quickly. That’s when it is crucial to have to have a broker with principles, expertise and experience on your team.
When not selling real estate, Cornelia enjoys painting, golf, reading, skiing, scrabble and fishing. She is especially interested in the natural world, and enjoys the wildlife and natural beauty of the east end. You may see her about town in her red 1977 Ford Bronco.
