Douglas’s real estate training began in the cradle and advanced to the dinner table as he listened and then participated in conversations with 3+ generations of Manhattan Real Estate owners and brokers. John Brewster Capen, Doug’s grandfather, served on the Board of Governors’ for the real estate Board of New York and also as First Vice President of Brown Harris Stevens. Elizabeth Capen, Doug’s mother, is a active commercial real estate broker in Manhattan. Property management in and out of town provided the foundation of his family’s real estate expertise.
Having been raised on Upper East Side Doug easily distinguishes the nuances block by block and has first hand experience with the shops, resources and schools of the neighborhood. Doug’s focus is residential sales and rental real estate.
