With more than 23 years experience in real estate in Darien, Janet is one of the top producers in the Darien/Rowayton/Norwalk market. Having been raised in a family of real estate investors in New England, she learned early on about all aspects of buying and selling property. Much of Janet’s business comes to her through referrals from past and current clients as well as repeat sales and purchases from previously satisfied clients. She has the reputation for working hard and being thorough, patient, flexible, and a good listener. She is detailed in all aspects of a transaction, and achieves the best possible results for her clients. Janet makes both buying and selling real estate a smooth and positive experience.
Janet grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts and Palm Beach, Florida. She received her Bachelors of Art degree from Finch College in New York City and went on to earn her fine arts certificate from the New York School of Interior Design. She married her husband Jonathan in 1971 and his banking career took them from New York, to London, San Francisco, and then back to the east coast in 1976, when they settled in Darien to raise their two children.
Volunteer work has always been part of Janet’s life, whether through the Junior League in New York, San Francisco and Darien, various parent boards of her children’s schools, or teaching an Alcohol Education Program in many of the elementary schools in Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk and Stamford. She taught a cooking class to children through the Darien YMCA, has done volunteer work for the Darien Arts Council and has served on The Tokeneke Club Board of Governors. For recreation, Janet enjoys tennis, boating, fly fishing, reading and travel.
