Executive Vice President
Producers Council
Gold Circle member
Since his entry into the real estate industry in 2004, Jay Overbye has been on the fast track to success by personally generating nearly $150 million in sales and consistently being recognized as a Halstead top producer.Yet his most notable accomplishment is the respect, compliments and loyalty he’s earned from the diverse group of clients he serves.
Jay has well-rounded experience in the residential marketplace of New York City. He has found buyers great homes and investments, strategically marketed and sold all types of properties for individual owners, plus gained considerable knowledge and expertise creating, launching and selling new developments such as 80 Metropolitan and 58 Metropolitan in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where as Exclusive Broker he directs a sales team.
A New York City resident for over a decade, Jay has demonstrated proven sales excellence that's spanned all of Manhattan to Williamsburg and surrounding areas. Clients appreciate his integrity, professionalism and dedication to quality service as much as they do his ability to navigate the real estate process, making it seamless and rewarding.
Residing on the Upper West Side, Jay brings a unique passion and contagious enthusiasm to his work thanks to his intrigue with the city's history and architecture. He also boasts an extensive business background that fuels his effectiveness. Prior to entering real estate, he worked in advertising and public relations at such well-known companies as the Cleveland Indians, Young & Rubicam, and Ziff Davis Publishing, plus he founded and directed his own computer technology firm in Chicago that he grew into a multi-million dollar operation.
Outside of work, Jay is an avid American and English history buff and extensive international traveler. Yet he loves time at home in New York City where his life is dedicated to health and fitness, while partaking in the arts, golf, local New York sports teams, and membership in New York Road Runners Club. He also is involved with the Bronx Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education as a mentor to a child in the Bronx.
