Joan Waggner has been living with her husband in Darien since 1980, and selling real estate in the community since 1985. An experienced broker, she prides herself on her dedication to her clients’ needs. She is patient and takes the time necessary to find exactly what they are looking for in a home. As one buyer explained, “Our transaction with Joan was not only seamless, but her caring for the needs of our family was exceptional. She helped us find our beautiful new home, stayed in touch, and has since become a good friend. We will always think of Joan when it comes to our real estate needs.”
Prior to entering the real estate field, Joan was a teacher and then an aerobic dance instructor. Subsequently, she became a licensed broker, and earned a number of important credentials and awards, including GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute), CRW (Certified Real Estate Specialist), Fine Homes Specialist, ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and several Production awards for sales. Well respected by her peers, Joan has mentored novice agents and served a 3 year term as a director for the Darien Board of Realtors.
Joan has an insider’s perspective on the Tokeneke section of Darien. She was involved in building a “spec” house and is experienced with the designing and home building process. She renovated her own stone cottage, the work of renowned architect Frazier Peters. Her clients appreciate her in depth knowledge and her willingness to spend the time, sometimes even years, to help them find a very specific property. Joan herself has said, “I never give up!”
