Buying or selling in the New York market requires knowledge, tenacity and an understanding of how people think and what they hope to achieve. Kate Burton skillfully interprets what buyers and sellers need while she helps guide her clients through every step of the real estate process. She integrates the complexities of accurate pricing, aggressive advertising, smart marketing strategies and good negotiating skills, which is an integral part of every successful sale. Since all transactions are as unique as the parties involved, Kate makes certain that she tailors her approach to meet everything from her client’s tastes to their timetables.
A native Texan, but a longtime resident of New York City, with personal knowledge of neighborhoods uptown and downtown, she also served as Vice-President of her West Village co-op board. Kate relies on her experience, knowledge and strong determination to produce successful results in this challenging Manhattan market. Her patience and listening skills create an easier, smoother real estate experience for her clients.
Kate's interest in architecture and design began in college and was enhanced by her move to New York and her travels in Europe. Real estate seemed to be a natural progression for her second career. Originally a set decorator and wardrobe stylist for television, she settled into a long and successful career in advertising, television and theatre as the owner of an independent casting company. Kate was adept at fulfilling her client’s needs in the entertainment industry, since she dealt with a wide range of actors, directors and producers in the U.S. and in Europe, and translates many of these invaluable skills and life experiences to her real estate career.
