It’s no surprise to those who know and work with her, that Laurie Silverman is a consistent member of Halstead’s Producer Council, Gold Circle, Platinum Circle and most recently, of Halstead’s Diamond Club (for sales of $10M and up). Laurie was the Number 1 selling broker in the Soho Office for the year 2009.
Laurie understands that buying or selling a home is a process that runs in stages, and she is highly skilled at guiding both her buyers and sellers through the entire transaction process, from searching to negotiations to closing. She is also a whiz at matching the diverse personalities of Manhattan’s neighborhoods, as well as the individual character of buildings, to those of her buyers. Matching properties with buyers is an intuitive gift.
A customer explains, “[she has] a savvy take on what's taking shape in the real estate market of Manhattan…There is an innate ability to edit down to the most suitable options for both first time and seasoned buyers as not to waste the precious time of her clients."Laurie has a strong referral base from both satisfied buyers and sellers. Her loyal customer base is also diverse and very impressive. A satisfied buyer explains, “Working with Laurie Silverman on my first major New York City purchase was like taking a master class in a unique and often treacherous art form. Having obtained a great education, I am returning to the marketplace for my first major New York City sale. And I'm returning to Laurie Silverman to help guide me through the process.”
Born in New York - Lenox Hill to be exact - and raised in South Florida, she returned to New York in 1997 and currently resides in Greenwich Village. Laurie holds a B.S. in Psychology from Boston University and a Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. As a speech therapist, Laurie worked with a variety of populations in diverse settings ranging from nursing homes to the public and private schools, all the while, honing her skills in communication and problem solving. It was a natural path for Laurie to enter a career in real estate, as the skills she gained are skills for life.
Since joining the profession in 1999, Laurie has built an extensive knowledge and referral base through her social and professional networks, and a performance record to match. She understands real estate is a relationship based business. Through the years, she has built strong relationships with not only her buyers and sellers, but her co-brokers as well. Laurie has an affable personality, and is characterized as being patient, attentive and dedicated to her clients as well as being aggressive in meeting their needs. Laurie never gives up, whether it is your primary residence, pied-a-terre or investment property, she will either find it or sell it. She has a proven track record for getting the deal done! Click on Laurie’s list of sold and closed deals… she has sold prestigious properties all over the Island of Manhattan.
As Laurie says herself, “I really do care about finding that perfect match. It may be corny, but it’s also true that I love helping people find their dream home, because ‘home is where the heart is.’ A happy client sums it up neatly: “I have worked with Laurie on three transactions over the past five years. She found my husband and me a beautiful home in New York City, and she successfully sold two of our homes in Manhattan. She has always exceeded my expectations in delivering results and ensuring we found either the perfect home or perfect buyer for our homes.”
