For Leslie Hillel, real estate is not just a career, it is a passion. In one quick conversation with her you will be captivated by her authentic love of architecture. She fully understands and appreciates the aesthetics and integrity of any and all styles of property. Leslie loves to speak of the many different homes she’s lived in and the many different architectural features she was fond of throughout her life. This passion and enthusiasm is infectious and ensures an enjoyable and rewarding experience for her clients.
An industry veteran since 1999, Leslie has lived in the Hamptons since 1994 and for eight years ran a bed & breakfast in the Main Street Historic District of East Hampton. She possesses a comprehensive knowledge of the area and is involved with a community she believes is “sophisticated, exciting, artistic, and relaxing.” Leslie is loyal, hardworking, diligent, and honest. In those positions she has always found joy in listening to people, helping others, and problem solving, all skills which serve as tremendous assets for her real estate clients today. Leslie lived in Mexico and Tokyo for more than five total years and she will amaze you with the stories of the architecture she experienced in those foreign cities. She is a well-rounded, sensitive and patient individual that carries herself with integrity and treats people with the utmost respect.
Leslie earned her bachelors degree in Sociology from Russell Sage College and her master’s in Guidance Counseling at Hunter College. In her free time she enjoys antiquing, exercising, traveling, and belongs to a book club in her community.
“Do you know anyone who would tour neighborhoods with you at 10pm, with flashlights, because that was the only time you had to look for properties? We do! We’ll never forget our nocturnal drive with Leslie Hillel through the Devon section of Amagansett, our very first time with her as our real estate agent. Leslie came up with surprising examples of properties for us during our search for a country place. We love our centuries-old saltbox, and we couldn’t have found it without Leslie’s tenacious, supportive, and creative work.” – Barbara and Jonathon M.“Leslie saw in our current house what we might not have seen and what other realtors may have missed. It’s a one-of-a-kind house that charms us to this day. Leslie Hillel has a gift of matching a client’s needs, budget and aesthetic with the realities of the market. And she is a pleasure to work with!” – Markie and Kathryn G.“We were fortunate to have Leslie as our agent for the sale of our home. We found her to be professional, sincere, knowledgeable, and personable. She kept us informed throughout the process. Leslie helped us get through an emotional and stressful transaction. She is a great collaborator. Never once did we begrudge her commission at the closing, she truly earned it. She is an outstanding realtor and person. We would highly recommend Leslie to family and friends.” – Arlene H.
