Leslie grew up in New Jersey and spent many years teaching in Manhattan. Trading New York City for the suburbs, Leslie and her husband, Larry, moved to Northern Westchester with their two young children. As a result of a career change, Larry's job took the Hillel family to Mexico City and Tokyo introducing Leslie to many cultures and life experiences. Upon returning to the United States, Leslie was a high school guidance counselor in Westchester.
The Hillels gave up suburban life in Chappaqua, New York to buy and run a bed and breakfast in the historic district of East Hampton. Leslie's natural interest in architecture and gracious living led her to become a real estate broker at Devlin McNiff Halstead Property. She has been instrumental in pairing interesting people with homes that suit them.
