Madeleine Dale started with Halstead in the early 1990s. As the City changed, her business and expertise has moved along with the pulse of the City. Madeleine has worked in different economic conditions (back when a classic six traded in the low six figures) and in pioneer markets (tromping deserted streets in Tribeca before anyone imagined it would become a destination). Though well-versed in lofts, Madeleine tends to focus her work where she lives.
An Upper West Side resident since 1977, she has accumulated 30 years of block-to-block knowledge. Since real estate is an investment in location, specialization has advantages and, whether dealing with historic co-ops or new developments, experience is key. New York is idiosyncratic in that each building has a unique complexion — from architecture to amenities— and Madeleine speaks the language.
Madeleine is an associate broker and Sr. V.P., member of Halstead’s Gold Circle and Producer’s Council, and, as a member of the REBNY Sales Council, serves as liaison for West Side Manager’s Committee. She recently earned her ASP (Accredited Staging Professional Certificate).
Madeleine graduated from Barnard in 1981 and earned a Master’s degree from Columbia’s School of International Affairs in 1982. She spent ten years in film, working in positions like PA-location scout which served as a great training ground to sharpen her broker skills. Volunteering in the community, Madeleine visited the elderly with her Scottish Deerhound in an animal assisted therapy program, ran NYC Marathons with the Achilles Track Team and served in an executive capacity on the boards of two Riverside Park associations. With an 11-year-old, her current activities center on school obligations like the PTA and acting as parent coordinator for the swim team.
Halstead Property, LLC
Madeleine Dale
