Marilyn Hart joined Halstead Property after a long career in television journalism, having been a producer at WCBS-TV News and NY1 News. She has covered all aspects of television news, including producing a presidential primary debate. Her work has received three Emmy awards. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Marilyn worked her way through Saint Peter's College.
Marilyn has lived in Darien for more than 20 years. She knows the lower Fairfield County towns very well, as she runs through them daily while training for marathons. Marilyn has completed ten thus far - she enjoys running on the quiet lanes, scenic hills, and spectacular waterfront roads, and will frequently share her routes with other runners, whether it is one or twenty miles.
Marilyn and her husband Steve have four children, and they have been very active in the Darien community. Marilyn serves on the board of the TV79 Advisory Committee, has served as a Trustee of Greenwich Academy, President of the Greenwich Academy Parents Association, director of the Darien Arts Center, member of the Darien Charter Revision Commission (1998) and was elected to the Representative Town Committee five times, where she served on the Education, Town Government Structure and Administration, and Rules Committees.
