Prior to joining Halstead Property, Marlene spent over two decades as a senior marketing executive in the beauty industry with L’Oreal, Almay and Revlon. It was this experience that instilled in her an unsurpassed level of professionalism. Her unwavering ethics, respect for her clients’ time and needs, clear communication style, responsiveness and attention to detail are why her clients would never think of working with anyone else. Add to that, as one recent customer said after watching Marlene interact with another agent, “Boy, you have to be the nicest broker in all of New York.”
While Marlene possesses all of the important business and personal skills to accomplish her customers’ goals, she also offers some unique talents. Marlene has always had a penchant for design and has collaborated on residential interior design projects, redesigned corporate spaces and overseen creative development for hundreds of products, promotional materials and advertising in her corporate career. Two years ago, Marlene trained and received her accreditation as a Professional Stager.
As one of the few real estate agents in New York City to have the ASP (Accredited Staging Professional) credentials, Marlene provides extra value to her clients:
For sellers, she stages their homes using proven techniques that highlight the
best features of their properties and minimizes the lesser ones, so that they
sell for the highest price in the least amount of time.
For buyers, when viewing properties, Marlene helps them visualize how to turn
someone else’s house into their home. She provides guidance on how to best use
their current furniture in their potential new space and has even been called upon
to provide her design expertise during and after move-in.
Recently, Marlene received recognition for her staging with a feature in Teri B Clark’s book, 301 Things You Can Do To Sell Your Home NOW and for More Money Than You Thought.
Marlene is a graduate of Ithaca College and has spent her adult life living and working in New York City. Her passion, enthusiasm and level of commitment are evident to all who know her.
