Maxine has enjoyed over twenty successful years in the New Canaan real estate market. She pursued a corporate career following graduate work at the University of Toronto and at Harvard, and subsequently managed Canada-wide programming training for a major computer company. She authored the first text on computers for Ontario secondary schools, taught initial classes at what is now the leading Canadian university in information systems, and was given her university’s Professional Achievement Award for contributions to the computer field.

Maxine and her husband have three grown children who are products of the New Canaan school system, including a daughter who taught in the middle school. Maxine has long been involved in community roles, having been a volunteer with the United Way and in the school system, past president of New Canaan Community Concerts and is an active member of the New Canaan Sewing Group. She co-founded and has served on the advisory board of the Children’s Library at Yale New Haven Hospital and on the finance committee of her church. She was elected in 2007 to the Board of Assessment Appeals in the Town of New Canaan.

Her depth of experience in the real estate market has been bolstered by Maxine’s past residency in Toronto, Tokyo and Minneapolis It has given her a sensitive appreciation for the needs of families relocating to a new area. She finds it particularly rewarding to work with first-time buyers.

Maxine has been the recipient of the President’s Gold Circle award in her company. She still finds time to enjoy tennis, music and ikebana flower arranging, in which she holds advanced certification.
