For over 21 years, Michael Carlson has negotiated property sales ranging from diminutive studios to rambling multi-room classic apartments and elegant townhouses. His detail-oriented approach results in a thoughtful, calculated plan that accomplishes clients’ real estate goals.
Michael can be counted on to give up to date unbiased consultation on market conditions. His business method strives to reduce or eliminate any stress for both buyer and seller.
Currently the Manhattan residential real estate market is undergoing a transitional phase. However property sales should not be interpreted as an adversarial process. It requires an understanding that at closing, both parties achieve satisfaction. One obtains market based consideration while the other receives a far more personal asset, a home. To advance this process as a competitive event is not constructive and ultimately ends with one party feeling disadvantage.” This scenario isn’t a necessary conclusion to every transaction and I hope to smooth out this process for all participants.
Prior to entering the real estate arena, Michael worked in the financial industry for Dean Witter, Citicorp and Lehman Brothers. He began his career with the eponymous firm of the late Phyliss Koch. Michael has been a Manhattan resident for 25 years and currently resides on the Upper West Side.
