Peter Sommer upholds a longstanding reputation for finding clients optimal value, protecting their investments, and always looking out for their best interests. After spending almost 12 years as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney, Peter decided to pursue an opportunity in Real Estate. During his Wall Street tenure, he was responsible for managing individual investment portfolios and keeping clients abreast of the ever-changing investment climate. Today he draws upon his past experiences in the financial markets to help his clients navigate the residential real estate market in Manhattan.
While Peter has a keen understanding of market dynamics, he also is highly empathetic to the “human side” of investing, which involves the emotions surrounding buying or selling a home. Having dealt with a varied clientele, he is not only comfortable with complex negotiations, but adept at the support required to streamline the real estate process for buyers, sellers and renters.
Peter has lived in various neighborhoods throughout Manhattan for the past 15 years and asserts that “this is the best place to live in the world.” He enthusiastically partakes in the city’s various cultural, culinary and recreational offerings. Outside of work, this former tennis pro still loves to play his favorite sport. Peter is also an avid golfer, plus enjoys photography and physical fitness in his spare time.
