Rex Gonsalves is a Vice President with Halstead Property and an Associate Broker. He is also a member of the Gold Circle for 2010.
Living on 3 different continents - Asia [Bombay], the Middle East [Dubai], and the Americas [Atlanta, Boston & New York] has given Rex a unique perspective of diverse cultures and a respect and love for diversity. As far as living in the Big Apple goes, Rex finds that New York City has a slice for everyone. As he puts it, “The prewar architecture in the West Village to the post-modern minimalist art of the midtown properties. It’s Where Rousseau meets Mark Twain.”
Being a real estate investor himself, Rex understands the intricate blend of finance and aesthetics associated with a property, from the beauty and flow of an apartment to the financials and the board package. As he states, “I believe in personally answering every call, regular updates to my clients and most importantly understanding that the maximization of their investment in real estate is the highest priority. Each client is unique in their needs. My goal is identifying them and working passionately to achieve them every time”
Being meticulous and direct, Rex has consistently achieved investment and personal goals for his clients. The proof is in the fact that he has never had a Board rejection in all his years in real estate and that 100% of his business comes from repeat clients and referrals.
Rex is extremely well versed in the Taoist art of Feng Shui
Rex is also involved in multiple charities. Part of his commission from every sale or rental is donated to a charity of the client’s choice. Thus far, Rex has been involved with The Alzheimer’s foundation, NYRPG, American Cancer society, American Red cross, KIPP foundation, LEAP, The Salvation Army, Don Bosco, Aids Research Foundation, Haiti relief project, Japan Tsunami restoration efforts, Human Rights Campaign, St Paul Foundation, and Women for Women, to name just a few.
