Richard spent his childhood years in Northern New Jersey, and graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University after a stint in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. As a young man, he worked in the family lumber and demolition business, which gave him the experience and knowledge to create and develop the highly successful Avalanche Wrecking Corporation. Under Richard's leadership, this company helped change the face of New York City in the '80's and '90's.
As a real estate agent in Florida since 2003 and in New York since 2002, Richard remains active in both markets, and travels the corridor between Delray Beach, Florida and East Hampton. Richard and his wife enjoyed their first home in the Hamptons, a 160 year old farm house during the '90's. In 2000, they built the more traditional home in which they currently reside. They find East Hampton a truly special place, and are happy that their oldest son and his family have also chosen to live here.
Richard enjoys personal contact with people, which helps him understand exactly what a customer is looking for and allows him to service all their real estate needs.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys writing, gardening, and cooking. An avid golfer, he can often be found on the golf course. The many outstanding venues this area has to offer, such as the Bay Street Theater, the Long House Reserve, the fairs and the house and garden tours provide him with many hours of enjoyment.
