Stanley Deutsch has represented clients based in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Athens, and Monaco. Over the course of his career, he has brought his expertise to bear on financial and real estate transactions, including the purchase and management of numerous Manhattan properties. His integrity, respect for privacy and absolute focus on his clients’ needs have led to 30 years as a successful private lawyer.
Serving as Board President of his Upper East Side building for 17 years, Stanley spearheaded and personally supervised the building’s conversion and restoration, and the purchase, sale, rental, and renovation of scores of apartments. He has also served as advisor for numerous other condo and coop boards, and has accumulated an in-depth knowledge of New York City buildings and apartment layouts.
His most recent transaction was a $6.6 million six-room penthouse apartment at 39 East 79th Street that qualified for consideration by REBNY as “Deal of the Year.” Uniquely, the purchaser, seller, and management agreed the transaction could not have been consummated without Stanley’s legal background, attention to detail, and encyclopedic knowledge of building systems and construction.
Stanley holds degrees from CCNY, Columbia Law School, and Cambridge University with a background in law, history, and art, and a life-long interest in architecture. The parents of two adult daughters, Stanley and his wife, Ellen, have called the Upper East Side their home for more than 35 years.
