Stuart was born in Chicago and spent his formative years in the Midwest. Followed by four years at the University of Michigan, and then on to New York where he graduated with an MBA degree from Columbia University. His first career was spent in marketing and advertising; Initially, in marketing research and then 17 years in account management at one of the finest advertising agencies of the 1980's, Scali, McCabe, Sloves.
In 1991, determined to have an adventure and a better quality of life, Stuart and his wife, Lynn, purchased Devlin McNiff Real Estate and moved themselves, lock, stock and barrel, to East Hampton. In 2011, Devlin McNiff joined forces with Halstead Property to form Devlin McNiff Halstead Property.
Stuart and Lynn live in Amagansett. They have three grown children, a growing number of grandchildren, and a granddog. Stuart enjoys Pilates, golf, and civic affairs. His enthusiasm for East End Real Estate grows with each year.
