Vicki Green is a native of the Riverdale/Van Cortlandt area who spent several years living in Los Angeles and on Long Island before returning home over 20 years ago to raise her family here. Her son is a graduate of PS 24 and MS 141, and currently attends Law School in Boston. Vicki enjoys being an active member of the Riverdale community and currently serves on the boards of the Bronx Regional Interagency Council on Aging and the Interfaith Caregivers of the Northwest Bronx. She is a member of the Bronx/Manhattan Board of Realtors, New York State Assn of Realtors and the National Assn of Realtors.

For several years, Vicki worked in the retirement living and senior housing industry, bringing with her a wealth of expertise on retirement planning and alternative housing. As Vicki notes, “Over the last two decades we have seen an unprecedented number of older adults in transition after their retirement. Seniors are now seeking active communities where they can continue to be vital participants; to live closer to their families but still retain their independence, and to trade in the isolation of their large family homes for smaller more “care-free” living environments with luxury amenities.”

She is also quick to remark on the changes she has seen in Riverdale over the past two decades. “Riverdale has always been a wonderful place to live, a small town within a city, where people can really set down roots and become part of a community. Over the past two decades an increase in building and development has brought a new sense of expansion and vitality to the area. This is a solid, thriving area, and there is something here for everyone; I am always very proud to tell people I live and work in Riverdale!”

Through her work with older adults, Vicki developed her talent and nurtured her enthusiasm for helping people in all stages of life transition to new homes. Her clients and customers have learned that Vicki will go the “extra mile” to give them the best service, with honesty, integrity and empathy as her foremost goals. Vicki says, “Many years ago, when I chose a service-oriented profession, I did so with the understanding that people need, and deserve, to work with someone who takes the time to understand their needs, is able to communicate those needs into action and has the willingness to work hard and get the job done.”
