Halstead Property Promotes New Executive Directors of Sales

Halstead Property announced that Abby Plitt Gellert and Richard J. Grossman have been promoted to executive director of Sales for their respective offices, Westside and Downtown. Previously, Gellert and Grossman served as Director of Sales. Reporting to the President of Halstead Property, Diane Ramirez, Gellert and Grossman will oversee the day-to-day operations of their offices and be responsible for their office’s strategic growth.

“As members of our Executive Team, Abby and Richard have proven to be invaluable assets to Halstead Property and our agents. Under their direction and leadership, they have made significant advances for Halstead Property and I am very proud to have these two talented individuals on my Executive Team,” stated Ramirez, president of Halstead Property.

Gellert started as an agent with Halstead Property in 1989 and in 2002, she was promoted to Director of Sales for the Westside office where she worked closely with Michael Goldenberg, Executive Director of Sales for the Westside. Together, they were instrumental in doubling the number of sales at the Westside office as well as doubling the physical size of the office. In addition, they played a significant role in the opening of Halstead Property’s Harlem office in the fall of 2006. Together, Gellert and Goldenberg manage more than 200 agents and staff. Prior to entering the real estate field, Gellert was a stockbroker with L.F. Rothschild.

A 25-year veteran of New York real estate, Grossman joined Halstead Property in 2004 and was appointed the following year to Director of Sales of Downtown for the Village and SoHo offices. Under his direction, Grossman doubled the size of Halstead’s Village office, which now boasts more than 100 agents. Prior to joining Halstead, Richard was the Senior Vice President and Director of Sales for Heron Properties.
