Kent M. Swig is an owner and Co-Chairman of Terra Holdings, LLC, the parent company of several residential real estate service firms including Halstead Property, a residential real estate brokerage firm with more than 1,200 agents in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Riverdale, Hudson Valley, Hamptons, New Jersey and Fairfield County, Connecticut; the Halstead Management Company, which manages more than 250 residential buildings; Vanderbilt Holdings, which includes an appraisal firm and an insurance company. In addition, Terra Holdings owns Brown Harris Stevens, one of the oldest and largest residential real estate service providers operating in New York City, the Hamptons, North Fork, Palm Beach and Miami. The combination of Halstead and Brown Harris Stevens annually sell more than $8 billion of homes and manage more than 450 buildings comprising 30,0000 units.

President of Swig Equities, LLC, an investment and development firm focusing on the acquisition and development of real estate in New York City and California. Since 2001, Swig Equities has purchased and/or is in the process of developing in excess of $3 billion of properties.

Owner and serves as President of Helmsley Spear, LLC, the oldest continuously operating real estate firm in America.

The Swig Company

Principal in and formerly served as Chairman of the Board of The Swig Company, a family-owned real estate and hotel company based in San Francisco and New York with a portfolio of over 10 million square feet of prime commercial office space throughout the United States.

Educational Background: Swig earned his A.B. degree in Chinese History at Brown University, Provide, R.I. After that, he attended University of California, Hastings College of Law (1983-1985), where he was selected for the Law Review.
