Sales Launch For 20 Henry In North Hts

Free Celebratory Event Planned on Nov. 20

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — The developers and sales team for 20 Henry St., the new-and-converted loft residential development in the North Heights, are planning a special event Thursday, Nov. 20, to celebrate the official launching of sales.

Featured will be a live performance by Chris Washburn and The SYOTOS Band (an Afro Cuban and Latin Jazz band), along with a “winter whites” wine tasting, courtesy of Michael Towne Liquors, and food.

As previously reported, the two-building condo development, a project of 20 Henry Development LLC, with Shelly Listokin and Stanley Listokin, of Urban Realty Partners as principals, has received more than 1,900 inquiries from potential buyers since work began in early 2008, according to Stephen Kliegerman, executive director of Halstead Property Development, which has the sales exclusive.

Sherida Paulsen of PKSB Architects designed the development, which will have 38 restored and newly-constructed units range in price from $580,000 to $2.56 million and are a mix of studios, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.

Formerly the Peeks Mason Mints Candy Factory building and known locally as the candy factory, the older building has 11-foot ceilings and large windows, but with spacious floor plans and the best of today’s finishes and amenities.

“We’re excited to start sales at this unique, historic conversion,” said Kliegerman. “20 Henry offers residents a great opportunity to be part of a Brooklyn community and historic district.”

Amenities include a green roof deck and landscaped courtyard between the two buildings, a doorman, bicycle storage, refrigerated food storage, fitness center and also private storage. Additionally, the existing building is eligible for the J-51 tax abatement.

Completion and occupancy are anticipated for fall 2009.

Thursday’s free event, which is open to the public, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. The sales office is at 114 Henry St., near Clark Street.
