No-Fee Rentals Launch With One Month Free At New Bed-Stuy Rental 'The Dekalb'




A new 7-story rental residence has joined a dynamic block of buildings in Brooklyn's Bed-Stuy neighborhood. 740 Dekalb Avenue, suitably named The Dekalb, has launched leasing in the recently completed 37-unit building. The first four listings for the 1- and 2-bedroom market rate residences reveal images of model units and also offer a rental concession of one month free with 13-month leases. The new rental sits on a former empty lot on Dekalb Avenue between Marcy and Tompkins along the western edge of Bed-Stuy that borders Clinton Hill. The building was designed by Isaac & Stern, and permits list Level One Holdings as the developer. Located mid-block next to a school, it is among varying styles of residential buildings. Across the street at the renovated prewar 751 Dekalb, 3-bedroom apartments are listed from $2,700/month, and at the 2008-built 737 Dekalb, a 1-bedroom is listed for $2,100/month.
