As an attorney specializing in real estate law for twenty-eight years prior to his association with Halstead Property, LLC in 1997, Allen brings a broad background in real estate, business and finance to his career as a residential real estate sales broker.

Having most enjoyed the inter-personal and "deal making" facets of his legal career, Allen has concentrated on those aspects of his experience in his career at Halstead Property. These skills have made for success in dealing with cooperative boards and condominiums, accountants, attorneys, managing agents, and executors resulting in the consummation of a variety of complicated transactions which otherwise might have faltered. Allen, together with his wife Nina, specialize in the handling of estate real property transactions at Halstead Property. His brokerage skills have proven formidable most recently resulting in his having become a member of Halstead Property's Platinum Circle in four consecutive quarters as well as having been awarded their Listing Award for five consecutive quarters. Allen has recently been elected to Halstead Property's Producers Council.

Allen was born and raised in New York City and is a graduate of New York University and St. John's University School of Law. He has owned and resided in a cooperative apartment and served on it’s board of directors and currently he and his wife Nina own and reside in a townhouse in Brooklyn Heights. His daughter Lauren has recently been awarded a Masters degree from CCNY’s School of Journalism and his son Eric has begun practicing corporate law with the law firm of Chadbourne and Parke. Besides his real estate activities, including membership in The Real Estate Board of New York, Allen is an accomplished amateur photographer and jazz aficionado.

"One of the reasons we chose Nina and Allen was because our aunt's Manhattan apartment was an Estate sale and they offered so many additional services that we needed and did not find with other realtors. I live out of state and my sister works full time which made it difficult to be in the city. Having all these additional services helped make this sale so much easier and stress-free for the two of us. It was great working with the Rothmans and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property." - Nancy O., Tennessee, Kathy T., Long Island, NY
"Nina and Allen were extremely professional and went above and beyond what I would have expected in many instances, while working on the sale of my late uncle's Manhattan apartment. Nina even cleaned a bath tub herself which had been used as a storage area! They were instrumental in maintaining buyer interest during very difficult board negotiations, especially when the buyer's attorney suggested that the buyer walk away from the deal. We would not have been able to sell the apartment without their determination and persistence." - Neil and Betty H., Plainview, NY
"Selling real estate is a complicated business, as I found out when it fell to me as executor of my aunt's estate, to sell her apartment in New York City. My first bit of luck came in a letter from Nina and Allen Rothman. It was their energy, optimism and availability whenever I needed to talk about problems, real or imagined, that convinced me that I made the right decision in choosing the Rothmans to broker the sale of my aunt's apartment." - Roger C., M.D., Madison, CT
"My decision to engage Nina and Allen Rothman to sell my client's estate apartment was the best decision I could have made. They took care of everything, from cleaning and repairs to staging to removing items in the apartment before closing. They did everything they said they would do and more. I look forward to using them again to sell any future estate properties; they are consummate professionals." - Dana H., Esq., Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, LLC NYC, NY
"I cannot rave enough about Nina and Allen Rothman. Their diligence and persistence in the entire process made the sale of our apartment completely seamless. They have a creative approach and an exceptional attention to detail. They are extremely knowledgeable and handled every one of our questions as if it was their top priority. They are truly one of a kind!" - Evelyn and Neil S., NYC, NY
"Nina Horowitz-Rothman and Allen Rothman are superb. They provided excellent guidance on the pricing and sales strategy of my mother-in-law's Manhattan apartment and were creative and proactive in addressing issues. They never wasted our time with unlikely prospects; found great buyers for our apartment at the price we were seeking, and saw to it that everything went smoothly right through to the closing, which went flawlessly. We could not have had a better experience from start to finish." - Bruce B., Westchester County
