Jeff Santonastasi’s father was a carpenter who moved to the East End in the 1960s for the opportunities the area offered and to raise his family. It was on the job sites with his father that Jeff’s interest in houses, building and architecture was sparked leading him to study design and merchandising in college. These experiences and knowledge help to make Jeff stand out when it comes to evaluating a property for purchase or sale, showing buyers the potential of a home and making a sellers home look the best for showings.
While working at a local home furnishings and antiques store, Jeff realized his natural ability to pull a room together and how to interact with people on a personal level, listening to what their needs were and delivering better than expected. Soon afterwards, he started his own design and renovation company, Along the Way with his partner Ed Brody. They quickly became known in the Hamptons as the team behind creating some of the more desirable properties on the market. The combination of Jeff’s design sensibilities and Ed’s real estate savvy give clients a wrap around experience when considering a move; everything from comparable values to pricing on renovations is at their fingertips.
Growing up, life was all about biking, boating and beaches for Jeff as he grew to appreciate the Hamptons for the casual life style and many natural amenities just outside the door and he still takes advantage of them every chance he gets. In addition, he and Ed enjoy entertaining friends and family, spoiling their pug and rejuvenating at their vacation home in West Palm Beach.
