Madeleine Dale started with Halstead Property in the early 1990s and her business expertise spans decades. Selling lofts on deserted streets before Tribeca became a destination and representing prewar classics on West End Avenue when the area was considered a pioneer location, Madeleine has a unique perspective on this ever-changing metropolis.
An Upper West Side resident since 1977, she can share more than 30 years of block-to-block knowledge. Though real estate is an investment in location, address is only part of the decision process. From building to building, the construction varies just as financial requirements vary from board to board, so critical analysis saves time and provides direction. Whether dealing with historic co-ops or new condo developments, Madeleine has the skills to compare and contrast features from architecture to amenities. Complexities also vary with each deal. By guiding buyers and sellers through sales for so many years, Madeline has accumulated the sort of relevant information that is absorbed, not “googled.”
Madeleine is an Associate Broker, a member of Halstead’s Gold Circle and Producer’s Council, and, as a member of the REBNY Sales Council, served as liaison for West Side Manager’s Committee. She recently earned her ASP (Accredited Staging Professional Certificate). Connecting with the community, she volunteered in an animal assisted therapy program visiting the elderly with her Scottish Deerhound, ran NYC Marathons with the Achilles Track Team and served in an executive capacity on the boards of two Riverside Park associations. Married and raising a teenage son in the city, her concentration has shifted to homework and swim meets but stays in touch with charities like Project Find.
Madeleine graduated from Barnard in 1981 and earned a Master’s degree from Columbia’s School of International Affairs in 1982. She spent ten years in film, working in positions like PA-location scout – great training for broker and diplomatic skills. She is currently in the certificate program offered by the Center for Environmental Conservation and Research at Columbia’s Earth Institute.

Madeleine Dale
